GABLE. Brynäs is a newcomer to be reckoned with.
After 3–1 against Timrå, the team is in the league lead.
– It was magical, says goal shooter Linus Lindblom, who got to play with his big brother.
Saturday night’s Brynäs victory came in a tight match against another team that impressed during the autumn.
Brynäs won against Timrå after a decisive power play goal seven minutes into the third period. Victor Söderström lifted a puck towards the box and after a neat control, Johan Larsson was noted for the 2–1 goal.
The brothers played together
Brynäs’ first goalscorer in the match was Linus Lindblom, who equalized after Sebastian Hartmann’s 0–1 goal.
– It feels really nice. We’ve always known we’ve had a good team but it feels like we’re getting it together more and more in the game and in the group. I think it shows on the pitch. We fight hard for each other and everyone wants to win, says Lindblom.
He got to play a competitive match in the same chain as older brother Oscar Lindblom for the first time.
– It was great fun and it felt a bit like we were on the street when I was little and playing again. It was magical, he says.
How much have you played at home on the street in Hille?
– Indescribable hours. It’s as much as you like.

Not happened in seven years
Brynäs now has 25 points in the SHL table, which means that they lead the series. A fact that coach Niklas Gällstedt doesn’t get too excited about.
– It’s fun, isn’t it? he says and continues:
– We are achieving results and points, that is good. But the performances are the most important thing and today I think we played a damn good hockey match for 60 minutes.
How far will this go?
– No idea. We look forward to Tuesday infoclose Tuesday Away match against Malmö., that’s the next task.

Star defender Victor Söderström says that Brynäs takes nothing for granted.
– It’s something we’ve talked about a lot in the dressing room too – to be humble no matter how things go. I think we are. We work hard and get what we deserve, says Söderström.
Could you dream of this when you came home from Arizona?
– I am not surprised. If you look at the paper, we have a very good team. Lots of experience from the NHL, SHL and other leagues. But it’s also about getting the game together and I think we’ve got that.
Most things are going well right now.
– You long almost every day to come to the hall and train. It’s actually so much fun, says Söderström.
The successful autumn is a success that the Brynäs supporters have not experienced for a long time. The team has won six straight games, which has not happened since September 9, 2017, according to TV4.
