1. FC Union Berlin – Eintracht Frankfurt 1:1 (0:1)

Eintracht Frankfurt only managed a draw in the game against Union Berlin. In front of a good 22,000 spectators in the Köpenick stadium at the Alte Försterei, the Hessians couldn’t get past a 1-1 (1-0) draw. Frankfurt’s Mario Götze scored in his 300th Bundesliga appearance to give the guests the lead (14th). Benedict Hollerbach scored the deserved equalizer in the second half (66th). Thanks to the draw, Union Berlin remained unbeaten in the fourth home game of the season and secured fourth place in the table. Frankfurt, which had to end the game with ten men after the yellow-red card against Arthur Theate (76th), is in sixth place with 14 points, ahead of Borussia Dortmund and VfB Stuttgart.

In the early stages both teams appeared offensive. After Köpenick failed to clear a corner, the ball bounced to the feet of Ellyes Skhiri, who fed Götze at the far post with a half-shot. The 2014 world champion just had to push the ball in.

Union came out of the break with more momentum, but captain Christopher Trimmel (50th) only hit the post with his direct shot. Finally, Hollerbach redeemed the Köpenick fans by lifting the ball over Trapp into the right corner of the goal. Initially, referee Harm Osmers ruled it offside, but after video review the goal counted.

VfL Bochum – FC Bayern Munich 0:5 (0:2)

FC Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga game against VfL Bochum 5-0 (2-0). The goals for the clearly superior Bayern were scored by Michael Olise (16th minute), Jamal Musiala (26th), Harry Kane (57th), Leroy Sané (65th) and Kingsley Coman (71st). Thanks to this success, Munich remains undefeated at the top of the Bundesliga. In the second half, Kingsley Coman scored a goal (54′), but it didn’t count due to an offside position. Shortly afterwards, it was Kane who extended the lead and scored his ninth goal of the season (58th). Substitutes Sané (65th) and Coman (71st) increased the final score. After eight games and a coach’s dismissal, VfL only has a single point.
