The framework schedule for the ADMIRAL Bundesliga, the ADMIRAL 2nd League and the ÖFB Cup for the 2025/26 season has been fixed. This means that the 28 clubs in the two highest divisions know the timetable for the coming season.
As the Bundesliga announced in a broadcast on Thursday, the first round of the cup will start as usual at the end of July and will take place the following weekend (01.-03.08.2025) the first round of the two highest Austrian leagues will follow.
In the autumn round, 17 rounds will be played in both leagues and 15 rounds in the spring round (13 in the 2nd league). The winter break starts as usual for both leagues in December.
The clubs return from the winter break with the Cup quarter-finals (from January 30, 2026). The Bundesliga starts the spring at the beginning of February (February 6th – 8th, 2025), the 2nd league returns on February 20th with the 18th round.

The division into championship and qualifying groups in the Bundesliga will take place after the weekend of March 7th and 8th, after which two rounds will be played until the international break at the end of March.
The cup final will traditionally take place on May 1st next season, with the Bundesliga and 2nd league contesting the championship final around two weeks later. The European Cup playoff will take place afterwards as usual.
“We are pleased that we have already been able to jointly decide on the framework schedule in the interests of long-term planning for clubs and fans. The international match calendar has been tightly packed for years, this year’s reform of the UEFA competitions and the 2026 World Cup taking place next year are also increasing “Nevertheless, we managed to create a schedule that combines sporting balance for the clubs and attractive match dates for spectators,” said Bundesliga board member Christian Ebenbauer about the general schedule.
