Canadian League | The Rouge et Noir wins 37-31 against the Tiger-Cats

(Ottawa) Lewis Ward was five for five on field goals as the Ottawa Redblacks stopped a five-game losing streak on Friday, winning 37-31 over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Ottawa (9-8-1) next meets the Eastern final in Toronto on November 2.

Hamilton finished the season with a 7-11 record.

Winning quarterback Dru Brown had 445 air yards, including three touchdown passes. He was the victim of an interception.

A 66-yard connection with Kahil Pimpleton led to the final score with less than two minutes on the clock.

Pimpleton totaled 167 yards on six catches.

Bo Levi Mitchell had 425 passing yards, including a touchdown pass. He made an interception.

Steven Dunbar had 180 receiving yards and Greg Bell had 91 on the ground.

Marc Liegghio was flawless on four placement opportunities.
