The German teams have some difficult challenges to overcome in the Champions League. There are two top-class German-Spanish duels with Bayern against FC Barcelona and Dortmund against Real Madrid. Stuttgart and Leipzig go into their games as outsiders.
Champions League on TV – the German games
As in the previous season, the Champions League is exclusively at dazn and Amazon Prime to see, there are no games on free TV. Dazn broadcasts four games and shows one game on Amazon Prime.

BVB also beat St. Pauli 2-1 at the weekend, and Dortmund leads the table in the Champions League after beating Celtic 7-1. The two teams have met fifteen times in the European Cup so far, with BVB winning three times with five draws and seven defeats.

Stade Brest – Bayer Leverkusen

Stade Brest is the surprise team in the Champions League after two matchdays, the French are in second place behind BVB. Brest couldn’t get more than 1-1 at home against Stade Rennes at the weekend. Leverkusen won 2-1 against Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and remains at the top of the table. The Werkself have now been unbeaten in all competitions for seven games.
FC Barcelona – FC Bayern

The top game on the third matchday takes place at the Camp Nou. Barça is still top of the league ahead of Real Madrid in the domestic league after a confident 5-1 win against Sevilla and is currently in good form. Bayern were able to celebrate success again after three games without a win against Stuttgart. It is the sixteenth meeting between the two top teams in the European Cup, with Bayern winning eleven games with only two defeats and two draws.
RB Leipzig

After the 2-0 win in Mainz, RB Leipzig wants to keep a clean sheet against FC Liverpool in the Champions League – and is completely foregoing his tips against the new mastermind’s former team.

In the Champions League in 2021, both teams met in the round of 16, and Liverpool won both games 2-0.
