Chaots fire pyro into violet block!

FC Erzgebirge Aue lost the eastern derby against Energie Cottbus 1:3 (1:1) on Tuesday evening.

Oh – The descent continues! The FC Erzgebirge Aue Energie Cottbus lost 1:3 (1:1) on Tuesday evening in the Erzgebirgsstadion in front of 10,319 spectators and thus lost the fourth league game in a row.

Coach Pavel Dotchev chose an interesting approach because he started without a nominal striker! For Ricky Bornschein and Marcel Bär (training delay due to illness), Boris Tashchy moved to the top and Mika Clausen moved to ten.

Aue was immediately involved in the game. Kilian Jakob (6th minute) and Marvin Stefaniak (9th) both failed in a one-on-one match against the wide-awake energy keeper Elias Bethke. On the other side, Martin Männel cleared against Maximilian Krauß (9th). Thimmy Thiele (10th) and Niko Bretschneider (11th) also narrowly failed.

The game became increasingly disjointed after this firework of opportunities. Because referee Daniel Schlager took a very generous line, not every tough duel was whistled off.

Aue coach Dotchev: “We have a crisis in results!”

That’s exactly what Pascal Fallmann found on his feet when he was separated from the ball from behind by Phil Halbauer with robust physical effort. Cottbus countered through three stops and Timmy Thiele (30th) finished unstoppable for Männel because Anthony Barylla made a decisive deflection.

Just five minutes later, Energie must have been 2-0 up through Thiele, but Männel saved from point-blank range.

Aue had an extremely difficult time, won fewer duels than the opponent and was unable to play possession football as usual. The guests seemed closer to the second goal than the violets to the equalizer.

The 1-1 score shortly before half-time was therefore surprising. Erik Majetschak (44th) pushed Stefaniak’s free kick from the left half of the field with his head over the line.

The second half started like the first, with opportunities on both sides. Stefaniak (62nd) aimed narrowly past. The home team now managed to take over the scepter. Omar Sijaric (78th) chased the ball just over.

The Violets wanted to make it 2-1, Cottbus scored the goals. First Tolcay Cigerci scored (81st), then Thiele (90th + 4th).

Then things got ugly when energy idiots shot a flare into the Aue block. The police then secured the interior.
