Miwako Le Bihan, one of the only women in France to own the 8e dan, has just joined the Seishinkan of Châteauneuf and Carhaix. She started judo at the age of 13 at the Kodokan in Tokyo and obtained her 1is dan at 17 and his 8e in 2018.

Miwako was the teacher of Béatrice Rubeaux-Grandin, now herself a teacher of the Seishinkan of Châteauneuf and Carhaix. “She saw me start judo at the age of five. Miwako stopped working at his private club in Brest two years ago. Wishing to make herself redundant, it was quite natural that she came to ask me, smiles Béatrice Rubeaux-Grandin.

Miwako is a kata specialist. It travels everywhere in France but also in Europe at the request of clubs or federations. She is known for her expertise and her Japanese touch. “She is a respected person in all dojos and I can’t wait to see her set foot in the dojos of Carhaix and Châteauneuf. I am so proud to be able to accompany him in my clubs. It’s a fair return for the one who contributed to my desire to teach and become a judo teacher! We have a lot of respect and esteem for each other. It’s a friendship of over 40 years! »
