Chelsea Handler returns to E! when she returns as host of the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards, airing Sunday, January 12.
“Returning for a third year to host the Critics’ Choice Awards is even sweeter knowing it will now air on E!” Handler said in a statement Thursday. “I feel like I’m going back to my hometown.”
Handler previously hosted “Chelsea Lately” on the network for seven seasons from 2007 to 2014, plus three seasons of the scripted show “After Lately” from 2011 to 2013 and one season of “The Chelsea Handler Show” in 2006.
“We are excited to be working with E! “With the incredible return of Chelsea Handler as our host, we know this special 30th anniversary show will be the biggest and best yet, and we were able to do it. Don’t miss watching this show live on E! and will be broadcast on Peacock the next day.”
The Critics’ Choice Awards television nominations will be announced on Thursday, December 5, while the film nominations will be announced on Thursday, December 12. The awards committee will begin reviewing awards on November 11.

The 30th annual Critics’ Choice Awards will take place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
The ceremony will air on Sunday, January 12, 2025 on E! at 7:00 pm EST and will be available to watch the next day on Peacock. There will also be an hour-long pre-election red carpet show.
