KOMPAS.com – China coach, Branko Ivankovic, appreciated the performance of his team after successfully defeating the Indonesian national team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asia Zone.
The China vs Indonesia match on the fourth matchday of Group C 2026 World Cup Qualification took place at the Qingdao Youth Football Stadium, Tuesday (15/10/2024) at 19.00 WIB.
China managed to get full points at home after beating the Indonesian national team with a score of 2-1.
This is China’s first win in Group C of the Third Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asia Zone.
Branko Ivankovic also appreciated the struggle of the Chinese players when facing Indonesia.

The coach from Croatia assessed that all the Chinese national team players had given their best on the field.
“Thanks to the players for their efforts on the pitch which fully reflect our tactical style of play,” he said as quoted by Bolasport from Dongqiudi.
“Fight, passion and concentration,” said Branko Ivankovic.
Not to forget, Ivankovic also thanked the Chinese national team supporters who continued to provide support even though the team was in difficult circumstances.
The Chinese national team previously suffered three consecutive defeats, losing to Japan (0-7), Saudi Arabia (1-2) and Australia (1-3).
“Our supporters create a good atmosphere. The supporters are our 12th players and give us great support from the start, even during preparation,” he said.
“We have repaid the fans’ trust with an extraordinary game. This is worth celebrating,” said Ivankovic.

China’s victory was created through the contribution of goals scored by Behram Abduweli (21′) and Zhang Yuning (44′).
Indonesia reduced the deficit through Thom Haye’s kick in the 86th minute.
