“When I stopped playing for the first time and finally returned home, after many years of travelling, we wanted to renew our vows to mark the beginning of the married life that we had never experienced until now”, says the champion. When the twins were born in 2013, the couple experienced difficult moments due to Laura Maddaloni’s premature birth: “They were born at six and a half months. They were in intensive care for months, especially Janet who weighed 900 grams and had a less developed lung of the other. It was difficult, but nothing happens by chance, that period made me understand a lot.”
