Clemente Russo and his wife Laura Maddaloni tell Very true their love story began in 2005 when they met in Spain at the XV Mediterranean Games where he was competing with the national boxing team and she with the national judo team.
Clemente Russo and Laura Maddaloni got married in 2008 and in 2017 they got married again in Naples, including their three daughters: Rosy (2011) and the twins Jane e Janet (2013).
“When I stopped playing for the first time and finally returned home, after many years of travelling, we wanted to renew our vows to mark the beginning of the married life that we had never experienced until now”, says the champion. And he adds: “At our second wedding, our daughters were not just bridesmaids, but it was as if they were my wives too“. “All five of us have the same ring“, adds Laura Maddaloni.
When the twins were born in 2013, the couple experienced difficult moments due to Laura Maddaloni’s premature birth: “They were born at six and a half months. They were in intensive care for months, especially Janet who weighed 900 grams and had a less developed lung of the other. It was difficult, but nothing happens by chance, that period made me understand a lot.”
