On October 3rd (Thursday), we held a flag football trial class for 5th graders at Oku Elementary School in Arakawa Ward.
Oku Elementary School is located in the district next to Arakawa Ward Oku Miyamae Elementary School (Article ▶), which I visited in February of this year as part of the “Come and Play American Football Teacher” program. This day’s class was made possible because the principal of Okunomiya Elementary School introduced this activity to nearby elementary schools.
This time too, Yuichi Watanabe (Obic Seagulls Narashino Sports Club/Team OB) participated as a coach. The children, who are learning about flag football for the first time, are curious even before class, asking questions like, “Can I touch this ball?” and “What are we going to do today?” I could feel the excitement. Teachers also participated in all events,They supported us with all their might.
Thank you to the teachers at Oku Elementary School for your cooperation.
