Courses for guest auditors open in the winter semester at the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences

At the start of the lecture period in the winter semester 2024/25, the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences is once again offering citizens the opportunity to take part in regular lectures and courses. A guest auditorship enables anyone interested – even without a university entrance qualification – to attend selected courses. Events from various degree programs in the faculties and university sports are available to choose from. They are offered in German or English at the Kleve campus and the Kamp-Lintfort campus.

Guest auditorship in the faculties
In its exclusively English-language lectures, the Faculty of Technology and Bionics on the Kleve campus covers not only traditional topics such as physics, mathematics and chemistry, but also teaching content from the areas of science communication, electrical engineering, business administration and project management. If interested, citizens can contact the faculty this year. Due to the partial restructuring of the course offerings, the faculty is offering support in selecting suitable lectures instead of a public program: [email protected]

The Faculty of Life Sciences focuses, among other things, on microbiology, environmental chemistry and nutritional sciences, but also on agricultural engineering, agroecology, agricultural economics and agricultural policy.

The third faculty on the Kleve campus, Society and Economics, focuses its lectures particularly on company-related aspects such as corporate law, social responsibility or organization and corporate development. In addition, lectures in domestic and international politics or in the area of sustainable tourism are also offered.

The following lectures are available at the Faculty of Communication and Environment on the Kamp-Lintfort campus: ecology and environmental science, geology, biology, energy management and technology, design history, communication security, business administration, media informatics or personality psychology.

Interested citizens can register as guest auditors at Rhine-Waal University’s student service. The listener card costs 100.00 euros and is valid for attending the open lectures in the winter semester from October 2024 to January 2025.

Guest auditor at the sports courses
University sports are also opening up their sports offerings to guest students. The course offerings include Zumba, volleyball, yoga, fencing and badminton. (This excludes sports such as gliding, bouldering and tennis.) Those interested can choose between two options:

a registration for a course (prices are between 25 and 50 euros per semester) or
a flat rate of 60.00 euros per semester. This season ticket is valid for almost all visits to the university sports program in the winter semester.
