IIT BHU’s competition-2024 will be inaugurated today by former Indian cricket team bowler Munaf Patel. The competition will start at 6:30 pm today at the Gymkhana Ground. After this, the round of back to seed competitions will start from tomorrow. 2000 technosavies will participate in 20 games. There will be five video games in the e-competition. Munaf Patel, who was part of the World Cup winning team in 2011, also released a video message and said that he will meet the players this evening at IIT BHU. He wished for the competition to be played in full sporting spirit.
The biggest game competition of IITians – 24 is going on in IIT-BHU from 18th October. 500 women players will be included among 2000 players from more than 30 top engineering institutes. For the first time, the women’s football team will also play in the competition. The entire three-day game event is in the hands of 250 technocrats from IIT-BHU. Of these, 60 are also girl students.
They are running the entire game event on the lines of a virtual company. There is also an operation, marketing, publicity, events, food, designing, social media and PR team. Everyone’s work has been distributed. Out of these, the responsibility of staying in hostels for three days for about 2000 players, arrival and departure and medical arrangements of the players will also be on the students.
