Sweden’s hottest coach is Daniel Wäjersten.

In V75–4 he won the Oaks with three million first prize.

In V75–6 he had the chance to repeat what Timo Nurmos did last year, to win the classic double.

The three-year race Kriteriet awarded a whopping four million to the winner.

This year’s edition was open in advance, where Joakim Elfving’s 4 Phantom Express was played as narrow favorite in the big scratch game.

Also very trusted was Daniel Wäjersten, who had three horses in the race, with 1 Bullet the BlueSky.

Very fastest from the start was 5 Preacherman with Stefan Persson in the car, but Wäjersten was quick on the move and drove to the lead in a second stage.

The 500 meters went in 1.08, 6 but then they had to slow down in the lead.

“Then you get worried”

The rest of the race was mostly a formality and a replay of the Oaks final a few minutes earlier.

Bullet the BlueSky edged out on the run and the victory was very easy.

– King Wäjersten, you are unstoppable and will be so for many years to come, said expert Jennifer Tillman in V75 Direkt on TV4.

The winning trainer and driver was moved to have achieved the biggest thing in his career.

– He has a big heart and a good attitude. Very happy that I got the horse into the training. I don’t know what to say, it’s only people like Timo Nurmos who win the double, said a moved Wäjersten, who continued in the winner’s circle:

– It was tough driving. Stefan Persson’s horse came by, but we were able to go out and take over. It was tough driving and then you get worried when it’s 2,640 metres. He felt very well the whole time. To win both races on the same day feels surreal.

Ulf Ohlsson, who drove the favorite Phantom Express, said the following after the race.

– He didn’t have his best day today and didn’t get the trot to match, he said.

With today’s major competitions at Solvalla, Daniel Wäjersten, as trainer, has scored 38.8 million with a winning percentage of 27.
