FC Twente won 5-0 at Heracles Almelo on Sunday afternoon. Danny Koevermans especially enjoyed Sam Lammers‘ goal.
The FC Twente striker scored the fourth goal of the afternoon fifteen minutes before the end. “What a horrible goal,” says the former professional footballer in conversation with ESPN. “It’s a pity that the ball was just touched. Also that double heel from Youri Regeer and Michel Vlap and the beautiful pass from Bart van Rooij that preceded it.”
The scoring in the derby was opened in a striking manner by Mimeirhel Benita. The defender of Heracles Almelo calmly shot the ball into his own empty goal. “Benita’s was also special. It was very strange,” said Koevermans. “He had the ball neatly at his foot and there was actually nothing wrong.”
