On Thursday there was a team building activity for the employees of Zulte Waregem. However, it was suddenly stopped.
Essevee employees went on team building to De Porcherie in Waregem on Thursday. However, during the first activity, CEO Michiel Beeuwsaert stopped it. He informed the managers of the event company that the team building could not continue.
It was quite a shock for the Essevee employees to experience this. “Apparently it did not fit into the budgetary plans. But we work with heart and soul for this club and the organization deliberately kept the team building low budget. It is absurd,” says Het Nieuwsblad internally.
Press officer Sciandri Jaecques took part in the team building himself and was allowed to explain it afterwards. “The club understands the reaction of the employees, because this should never have happened,” Jaecques responds.
“For budgetary reasons, the board had no room for team building, but it was still scheduled due to miscommunication. An unfortunate misunderstanding is the basis for the discontinuation of the activities.”
According to the press representative, Zulte Waregem must tighten its belt. The players spend less time in hotels, the internship was shorter and team building had to be scrapped. “This was more like a storm in a teacup. In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to get promoted as quickly as possible.”
