Sacramento has made its bet. Understanding that with what they had they could not compete at the desired level, those from the capital of California pushed in the summer to acquire the services of DeMar DeRozan. They achieved it, but that did not prevent doubts from arising about whether it was (and is) a correct fit with what they already have in their squad. Well, De’Aaron Fox defends that the mix with the former Bulls player will give fantastic results on the hardwood.
«It’s definitely something that feels natural at this point. Obviously we have someone else who can play in the post and create his own shot, but he also continues to create for teammates and makes our job easier, so I feel like there are no setbacks. “We are still not giving the game too much rhythm because we are not focusing on executing our attack well and making sure everything flows,” he says in statements to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee.
Although it remains to be seen how the Kings perform once the season starts. regular seasonthe reality is that everyone in the franchise seems to have understood that the option of becoming a better team is for a comfortable and well-adjusted DeRozan. Therefore, it is not surprising that one of the team’s stars sets out to clear up any doubts about the extent to which he is the ideal player for the project. By the way, DeRozan himself points out that he is really satisfied with the starting point. «I feel comfortable. Now it’s just about reaching a constant rhythm and, the more we play, the more opportunities we have to achieve it and the easier everything becomes,” he explains.
After two consecutive seasons approaching 50 wins, the Kings want to take the leap from being a good team to one capable of fighting face to face with anyone. DeRozan doesn’t assure anything, but he does open that window.
