De’Aaron Fox prefers to wait to extend in Sacramento

Still no immediate extension for De’Aaron Fox. According to ESPN, he will not be back with the Kings before next year, with the aim of receiving a longer and more lucrative contract. Nothing alarming though, since De’Aaron Fox is locked in California until the summer of 2026.

If he re-signed Sacramento before the start of the regular season, the point guard could get $165 million over three years. By waiting a year, he could receive $229 million over four years… or even $345 million over five years, if he is selected for an All-NBA Team in 2024/25!

Eager to continue as long as possible with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox comes out of an exercise averaging 26.6 points, 5.6 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals. Now supported by DeMar DeRozan, in addition to Domantas Sabonis of course, he wants to take a step forward and regularly play in the playoffs. The Californian franchise therefore has every interest in returning to the playoffs to convince its left-hander not to imagine himself elsewhere in the near future. Because it was recently rumored that he was waiting to extend in order to see in which direction the team would go.
