Men’s singles

Thanks to a first set controlled from start to finish (21/17), Alex LANIER (n°21) takes the reins of the match against NG Ka Long Angus (n°20, Hong Kong). If the Hong Konger tries to compete with the second, the Frenchman leaves him little hope. This second, more contested round, finally saw the Habs win once again, 21/17 21/18. In the round of 16, Alex could certainly meet the local giant, Viktor AXELSEN (n°2), if he wins against the Japanese Yushi TANAKA (n°27).

Mixed doubles

After a complicated start (9/21), Thom GICQUEL and Delphine DELRUE (n°23) pulled themselves together and found success, thus winning a contested second set (24/22), then a liberating third set (21/10). This is a first victory acquired for the confidence, before facing the winner on Thursday between the new duo Robin TABELING/Alexandra BØJE (n°401, Netherlands/Denmark) and the Germans Jones Ralfy JANSEN/Thuc Phuong NGUYEN (n °53).
