The Spurs made several choices during the summer, including one that continues to cause controversy. Did the Texas franchise really make the right choice, or will the leaders end up regretting it? Fans have their opinions on the matter.
We talk a lot about Spurs within the Western Conference, and rightly so. With Victor Wembanyama, Chris Paul, Stephon Castle and Devin Vassell, the franchise certainly has the ability to be an interesting team. Enough for the playoffs? It is not a certainty for 2025, but we will have to count on Gregg Popovich’s men in any case.
The best is yet to come for this organization, even if the front office is not always unanimous. However, we are talking about experienced leaders, who had a fairly interesting summer. But for some, the franchise made a mistake this summer: the trade of the 8th pick in the draft NBAwho became Rob Dillingham with Rudy Gobert’s Timberwolves.
A mistake by Spurs during the summer?
While executives decided to settle for Castle, others believe Dillingham was an obvious choice as a bonus. A scorer capable of passing, as he was able to show with the Wolves this Friday evening, during a match with 7 points, 9 assists (0 ball loss) and 4 rebounds. And the guard showed very good things for a rookie.
