Some tips emerged from the same video. The person in question has two small children, suffered from a shoulder injury and has already won ‘more than a hundred times’ in his career.
But perhaps the biggest tip came with the statement that “he loves chasing things that seem impossible.” And who did we see the same exact quote pop up recently? Yes, Wout van Aert! Finally, there was also the tip of the rainbow jersey, which could refer to his world titles in cyclo-cross.
Did Van Aert already reveal his participation here?
The followers of the program – and also the cycling fans – are certain: Wout van Aert is Squirrel! This becomes very clear in the comments below the video on The Masked Singer’s Instagram page.
Van Aert may even have revealed his participation a long time ago, without any questions being asked. Strava shows that on May 29 he took a ride to Brussels with the title of the ride… the image of a squirrel. It doesn’t seem like it could be much clearer.
