Honors and new elections were the focus of the AGM of the UJC Dornbirn.
Dornbirn. Around 40 members and friends of the Dornbirn Judo Club recently came together for this year’s annual general meeting, which was marked by numerous honors and sporting successes. The founding members Albert Lecker, Peter Tscherneg and Vice Mayor Julian Fessler were welcomed as guests of honor. The focus was on the long-standing members and trainers, who were honored for their commitment, as well as the election of a new board.
Sporting achievements and long-term loyalty
The highlight of the evening was the honoring of the Bundesliga team, which impressed with its outstanding performances last season. The participants in the state championships were also celebrated for their sporting success.
Martin Zerlauth also received special recognition, as he ended his work as secretary after many years of service. Zerlauth was recognized for his commitment and valuable work for the club.
Further honors went to Wolfgang Pastor and Stef de Hond, who both achieved second dan (advanced and master’s degree in judo), as well as to Elias Kosel, who was awarded first dan. David and Reinhold Böhler were honored for their 25 years of membership in the Dornbirn Judo Club.
The club also introduced its new trainers. Mert Basar and Leon Nussbaumer were officially introduced into their coaching roles and recognized for their services to the club.
Stable financial budget despite high expenses
In addition to the sporting successes, the board also presented a detailed financial report. Despite high expenses for participation in the Judo Bundesliga, the club was able to cover all costs through economical budgeting.
New board members were elected and some were confirmed. Reinhold Böhler was re-elected chairman, Wolfgang Pastor as deputy. David Böhler takes over the office of treasurer and the parents and youth representatives have also been replaced: Sabine Kosel, Petra Hiller, Dominik Steinwiddder and Janos Vadas represent the parents, while Carlo Kohler and Matteo Gruber look after the youth interests in the club.
“We can therefore look back on a successful year and start the coming season with fresh enthusiasm, in which not only sporting successes but also the lively club life continue to be in the foreground,” concluded chairman Böhler. (cth)
