Draisaitl scores again strongly in Oilers bankruptcy – Peterka

The eight-time world footballer Lionel Messi will take part in the new Club World Cup next summer with his club Inter Miami. The team from Florida qualified for the competition as the best team in the main round of Major League Soccer (MLS). FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced the news personally on the pitch after Miami’s spectacular 6:2 (2:2) against New England Revolution.
Superstar Messi had previously performed magic there like in his best days. After coming on as a substitute when the score was 2-2 after 57 minutes, the 37-year-old scored a flawless hat trick (78th/81st/89th). By winning on the final day of the regular season, Miami set a league record. Before Inter, no club had ever scored 74 points; New England’s old record was 73 points in 2021.
Before the game, Messi, Luis Suarez and Co. had already won the Supporters’ Shield title as the best team in the main round. This now entitles you to take part in the Club World Cup. Miami will take the host nation’s designated qualifying spot and play its opening game on June 15 at Hard Rock Stadium.
Before that, Inter wants to become champions for the first time. In the first round of the MLS play-offs, Miami will face the winner of the game between CF Montreal and Atlanta United.
Tagovailoa is about to return after concussion
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa from the NFL team Miami Dolphins is apparently about to return after his repeated concussion. As “ESPN” reports in the USA, the 26-year-old is expected to start training in the coming days. A game in the home game against the Arizona Cardinals on October 27th is already planned.
Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in the second game of the season against the Buffalo Bills in mid-September and has been out since then. It was the playmaker’s third injury of this kind in his NFL career. Afterwards there was speculation that the quarterback’s career would end prematurely.
Yankees in the World Series for the first time since 2009
The New York Yankees have returned to the Major League Baseball World Series for the first time since winning the title in 2009. The record champions prevailed 5-2 in the fifth game of the semi-final series against the Cleveland Guardians thanks to Juan Soto. The two-time All-Star got the decisive three outs with a home run in the tenth inning.
The Yankees won the series against Cleveland 4-1. In the final, the 27-time champion will face the Los Angeles Dodgers with Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani or the New York Mets. The Dodgers are currently 3-2 in the series and can secure their place in the World Series with a win on Monday night.
Of the title contenders, the Dodgers last won the World Series in 2020. The world-famous Yankees have been waiting for their 28th title since 2009; the Mets were last successful in 1986.
Stützle’s Senators also beat Tampa
German national ice hockey player Tim Stützle and the Ottawa Senators continue to provide a great spectacle in the NHL. Five days after the 8:7 against the Los Angeles Kings, the Senators won the next goal festival with a 5:4 against Tampa Bay Lightning and inflicted their first defeat of the season on the top team from Florida.
