The draw for the Swiss Indoors in Basel did not give the Swiss players any seeded opponents.

Stan Wawrinka (ATP 217) will meet Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (ATP 56) in the first round of the Swiss Indoors. The Romand was given a wildcard by the organizers. Wawrinka has lost all three duels on the tour against Mannarino so far, most recently at the Australian Open. However, like the Swiss, the 36-year-old left-hander is experiencing a complicated season.
Last year’s quarterfinalist Dominic Stricker (ATP 317) can also take part thanks to a wildcard. He will face Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (ATP 37) in the starting round. There has never been a direct duel, Stricker will compete as an outsider.
More Swiss in the qualification
The number 1 seeded Russian Andrey Rublew (ATP 7) meets the Portuguese Nuno Borges (ATP 32) in his opening match. The Norwegian Casper Ruud (ATP 8) will compete with the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (ATP 60).
In the qualification, 17-year-old Henry Bernet (ATP 940) and 21-year-old Jérôme Kym (ATP 141) also want to make it into the main field. For Mika Brunold (ATP 451) the first round of qualification was the end of the line.
