HEEßEL
On October 14, 1999, a new era began in the Heesseler SV hall that had just been inaugurated. Badminton, also known as the sporty version of badminton, by Elke Kistner had her first day of training. A lot has changed in the club and the badminton division since that day, but one thing has remained the same: the division leader is Elke Kistner and, even after 25 years, she is still active as a trainer for students and young people.
Since it was still the holidays on the anniversary and fewer kids and young people could have taken part, the board decided to surprise Elke a week later at the place where she worked.
So after the student training, Elke Kistner was asked into the multi-purpose room and, together with all the young people and adults present in the hall, she met the chairmen Lutz Klinkmann and Birgit Wiltz and three players who were actually in the hall exactly 25 years ago. The first part of the surprise was a success.
After a few words of thanks from the board for her many years of service and a glass of champagne (also non-alcoholic), another surprise followed: Carsten Elges appeared for the Hanover Regional Sports Association and honored Elke Kistner for her many years of commitment, which was demonstrated by handing over the certificate for the “Club Heroine “Elke Kistner and other presents as part of the LSB campaign “Volunteering surprised”.
