Emotional Evenepoel dedicates second place in Lombardy to sports director: “Saved my life”
I have a tip for Evenepoel: just be honest about your feelings.

Saying boldly in advance that it doesn’t do much for you, and then bleating like a little child afterwards, that’s not credible.
Of course it is not surprising if returning to the RvLombardy does something to you, especially if during the race you pass the place that could have meant your end. And I think everyone knows that Remco “still has an open account” with Lombardy; If it didn’t bother him, he wouldn’t talk about that course like that.

Hopefully one day he can come full circle. Although it is also nice if a rider has a “black beast”, or a race that he obsessively pursues throughout his career.
