Former Benfica player’s lover accuses him of asking him to deny everything
The woman who recently had an affair with former Benfica player Everton Cebolinha, now at Flamengo, spoke about the relationship she had with the player which ended quickly.
Ivana Bermanelli detailed her relationship with the player – who was seriously injured in August – in an interview with the newspaper Extra, and even stated that she advised him to get back together with his ex-wife.
First, she explained how they met – she is an influencer: «He had been following me for a long time and always watched my stories. Everyone, every day. But he didn’t interact. Until a mutual friend went to Rio de Janeiro and we made a video call. There was an approach there.”
Ivana told the newspaper that the player assured her that he was separated, “with no return”, and was already living alone “after his wife packed his bags for him”. «In my mind, there was no problem, since we were both free», he continued.
Afterwards, the divorce was made official and Ivana’s name was implicated, which is why she claims that Cebolinha blocked her. Take a few moments back, especially as a couple in his apartment, so as not to be seen: «He sent me a message written like this: ‘You got what you wanted. Nice strategy’. And then he blocked me from everything, but asked me to deny that I knew him, to deny everything. And I said no. After all, I didn’t do anything wrong.”

What’s more, he said he didn’t know her. «So he leaves me exposed to public opinion, to insults, judged as a scammer, a lover, a badass… They called me everything, it seems like I destroyed a marriage. And I didn’t do that. Many times I even told him to go back to his wife, because I think family should always come first. And he pretends it’s not him? If regret could kill… And all because of 15 minutes of sex…»
Ivana was married to another player, Luan Cândido, from RB Bragantino, with whom she has a four-year-old son, which would have ‘helped’ with the swearing. «It’s good to say that I don’t need Cebolinha’s money, as they think. I was alone in his apartment with everything branded, clothes, perfumes, just expensive things and he trusted me. I don’t need that. And I wasn’t trying to get it wrong, I used contraceptives. It wasn’t my fault Everton split up. I even think they have to come back, but first he owes forgiveness to me and his ex-wife», he concluded.
