Excellent sporting season for judokas

Varennes-Vauzelles. Excellent sporting season for ASAV Judo. Asav judo recently organized its general meeting at the Hôtel du Nivernais.

The president, Annie Champonnier, through her moral and orientation report, presented the strong points of this assessment. Continuing from the two previous seasons, the club welcomes the good results recorded in the 2023-2024 season from a sporting point of view, numbers and outreach.

Numbers are up 18% over the season. An overall increase thanks to the three branches which functioned well, to two para-judo groups, and to the BJJ group started this season.

Last assembly for Denis Perreau

At the sporting level, last general assembly for Denis Perreau who ends with an excellent sporting season. Fourteen judokas qualified for the national championships and out of ten participations, two young people obtained the fifth place. The club also shined in the regional championships, with twenty podiums without forgetting the junior men’s team which finished third. In the 2023-2024 season, the club also has four new 1 is dan and three new 2 e dan. Denis Perreau therefore leaves a club in perfect health to the new team of teachers. Félix Géraci will take over the group of competitors assisted by Nika Khatoyan.

Furthermore, Angélique Jolivel was elected to the steering committee of the Judo League. This new position is, for her, an opportunity to get involved in a body more important than that of the department. She will thus be able to participate in larger organizations. The next meeting will allow the new office to be elected.

Were thus elected: Anne Batailler, Annie Champonnier, Thierry Dupre, Bernard Fritz, Angélique Jolivel, Aurélie Moreau, Daniel Nevers, Laurent Pastout, Christian Rat, Anne Marie Rignault, Christophe Roux, Cécile Salort, Marie-Claude Trotot, Mathieu Grandjean and Therese Vandenschrick.
