Our Fenerbahçe Opet Women’s Basketball Team hosted OGM Ormanspor in the 5th week match of the ING Women’s Basketball Super League. Our team won the match by 20 points, 87-67, and made it 4 out of 4.
The players of both teams went out to the match with a banner saying “Happy 29 October Republic Day”.
Our Board Member Responsible for Women’s Basketball, Mustafa Kemal Danabaş, and Fenerbahçe Petrol Ofisi Women’s Football Team Coach Gökhan Bozkaya also watched the match.
The Queens of the Basket started the match played at Fenerbahçe Metro Energy Hall with Alperi Onar, Ariel Atkins, Emma Meesseman, Nikolina Milic and Julie Allemand, and were ahead 11-2 in the first 2.5 minutes with Julie Allemand’s scoring play. Fenerbahçe Opet increased the difference to double digits with Captain Alperi’s layup and finished the first quarter ahead 28-15 with Emma Meesseman’s basket. Increasing the difference to 20 points with Emma Meesseman in the second quarter, our team entered the locker room with a 49-36 advantage.
Fenerbahçe Opet started the second half with Sevgi Uzun’s three-pointer and took the score to 58-41 with Milic. Our team increased the difference to 20 points again with Emma Meesseman and was ahead 74-49 in the quarter. Fenerbahçe Opet increased the difference to 30 points with Tilbe in the fourth quarter and won the match 87-67.
Our Fenerbahçe Opet Women’s Basketball Team will host Villeneuve d’Ascq in the EuroLeague match on Tuesday, October 29th. The match to be played at Metro Energy Hall will start at 19.00.
