Fenerbahçe Medicana Women’s Volleyball Team won the 2024 Women’s AXA Sigorta Champions Cup match by defeating Eczacıbaşı Dynavit 3-1 in sets.
Last season’s Vodafone Sultans League champion Fenerbahçe Medicana and 2024 AXA Sigorta Cup Volley finalist Eczacıbaşı Dynavit faced each other at Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall.
While the first set of the match was balanced, the yellow-dark blue team took the lead 1-0 with a score of 25-23. While the orange-whites started the second set effectively, they maintained their lead in the set. Although Fenerbahçe had successful attacks in the last part, Eczacıbaşı won the second set 25-22. Scoring points in the third set, especially with Melissa Vargas‘ effective dunks, the yellow-dark blue team won the set and took the lead for the second time in the match.
In the fourth set of the match, Fenerbahçe emerged victorious with a score of 25-21 and declared its championship in the 2024 Women’s AXA Sigorta Champions Cup by making the score 3-1 in the sets.
HE TOOK THE CUP TO HIS MUSEUM FOR THE 5TH TIME
At the ceremony, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit’s players were given second place medals, and Fenerbahçe volleyball players, who won their 5th cup championship, were given championship medals.
Turkish Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ presented the AXA Sigorta Champions Cup to Liza Safranova, the young player of the yellow-dark blue team.
The 18-year-old spiker had great joy with his teammates after lifting the cup into the air. The yellow-dark blue players celebrated the championship accompanied by Queen’s iconic song of the cup ceremonies, “We are the champions”.
The “Most Valuable Player” award of the match was given to Fenerbahçe’s national volleyball player Melissa Vargas.

Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak congratulated Fenerbahçe Medicana Women’s Volleyball Team for winning the 2024 Women’s AXA Sigorta Champions Cup with the message he published.

YELLOW ANGELS WON TWO FINALS
The yellow-dark blue team, which reached a happy ending in the league and Cup Volley last season, played against Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in the finals of both championships.
Having gained a 3-2 advantage over Eczacıbaşı Dynavit in the Vodafone Sultans League final stage series, the Yellow Angels declared their championship by beating their opponent 3-1 in the AXA Sigorta Cup Volley final.
