Fluminense built the victory with three goals from Horácio da Costa Santos, one of them being the first in Tricolor’s history, two from Heráclito Vasconcelos, as well as goals from Adolpho Simonsen, Félix Frias and Eurico de Moraes.

The Tricolor lineup for the match was made up of Américo Couto; Victor Etchegaray – team captain – and Mário Frias; Mário Rocha, Oscar Cox and Walter Schuback; Adolpho Simonsen, Eurico de Moraes, Horácio da Costa Santos, Heráclito Vasconcelos and Félix Frias.

Present at the club’s first game, Victor Etchegaray, Oscar Cox, Horácio da Costa Santos and Félix Frias were part of the 1906 Campeonato Carioca title, the first of many achievements for Fluminense.
