Asgu badminton will begin its first season in Regional 1 this Sunday, October 6, with a team that has experienced few upheavals.
Placed in group A, it will face USC Dijon, Stade Auxerrois, AS Quetigny B, BC Dijon D and BC Chalon-sur-Saône B. The matches will be played in the form of gatherings: the first takes place this Sunday, October 6, at the Boulonnerie gymnasium in Guérigny, where the six teams will play two days of the championship in one.
In fact, three meetings are scheduled in the morning, three others in the afternoon. Each match is made up of four singles (two men’s, two women’s), a men’s doubles, a women’s doubles and two mixed doubles.
At the end of the championship, and for each of the two groups of Burgundy-Franche-Comté, the first will play in the play-offs to access the Pre-National, while the last will go down to Regional 2. Antoine Colmard, the president of the Asgu, set the objective for the season: “We are aiming to maintain it, and it is entirely achievable”.
Composition of the Asgu: Hanna and Marie Marchadier, Carine Messani (captain), Baptiste and Guillaume Garnier, Antoine Colmard, Clara Guéresse and Alexis Thereau (the latter two arrive from Bourbon-Lancy, R1).
First day (Sunday morning): Asgu-USC Dijon; AS Quetigny-Stade Auxerrois; BC Dijon-BC Chalon.
