Fluminense debuted with victory in the Women’s Volleyball Superliga. In their first clash after the Rio title, the team led by Guilherme Schmitz beat EC Pinheiros by 3 sets to 1, partial 25/19, 21/25, 25/16 and 25/23, this Saturday (19/10), in the Hebraica Club gym. With the victory in the first round, Tricolor scored its first three points in the competition.

Central Lays, responsible for 11 points, seven from blocks, won the Viva Vôlei trophy for best on the court. Tricolor’s highest scorer was opposite Ariane, with 17 hits, followed by striker Amanda Campos, with 15.

“We knew it would be a balanced game and we focused point by point to seek victory. I’m sure our fans, who I love very much, made a difference. I leave here happy with the award, but especially with the victory that came through collective work”, celebrated Lays.

Fluminense returns to the court on 10/25 (Friday), when they face Abel Moda Vôlei, at 7:30 pm, at Arena Brusque, in a game valid for the second round of the Superliga.
