Tom Brady (47), the best quarterback in American professional football (NFL) history, transformed into a club owner.

Foreign media, including the U.S. Associated Press and Britain’s Reuters, reported on the 16th (Korean time) that Brady purchased a 5% stake in the NFL Las Vegas Raiders. Other NFL team owners also unanimously supported purchasing Brady’s stake at the meeting.

“I’m very honored and excited,” Brady said on social media. “I want to contribute to the organization in any way I can and provide a better service to the fans,” he said. “Above all, I’m looking for every way to help us win games.” “I want to,” he said.

Las Vegas club majority shareholder Mark Davis, who welcomed Brady as a member of the team’s ownership, said, “It’s an exciting day for the club. Although Brady cannot play, he will be able to help select and train quarterbacks in the future.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also welcomed it, saying, “It’s great that Brady is investing in the NFL. It’s a sign that he has a deep interest in this sport and believes in its future.”

Even if he is not a player but a team owner, the mere appearance of Brady’s name is enough to shake up the NFL. Brady, who played for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 23 seasons, has won a total of seven Super Bowls and won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award five times. The title of greatest player in NFL history naturally follows him around.

Brady, who had been active on the field for a long time, only announced his retirement in February of last year. Afterwards, he took the microphone as a commentator, and Fox Sports attracted attention by giving him a huge sum of $375 million (511.1 billion won) over 10 years.

However, Brady’s activities as a commentator will be restricted following his inauguration as team owner. According to NFL league rules, he cannot access other teams’ training, players, or coaching staff. Public criticism of league officials and other clubs also became impossible. In fact, it is no longer possible to hold the microphone at any club game except Las Vegas.
