Football in the Noordkop: FC Den Helder and HCSC win, VZV and DWOW lose

Kop van Noord-Holland – The football season is in full swing. Last weekend, football players from the Noordkop flocked to the lawns again. FC Den Helder and HCSC recorded excellent victories, while VZV and Wieringerwaard were left empty-handed. Below is an overview of a number of football matches from the Noordkop.

FC Den Helder – Enkhuizen: 2-0
FC Den Helder won 2-0 against Enkhuizen in the third division. Coach Ben de Visser’s team absolutely wanted to keep a clean sheet this time, and the opponent hardly had any chances. After a quiet initial phase, Wouter Philip managed to open the score four minutes before the end. On the stroke of half time, Max Snippe even doubled the margin with an unstoppable shot. In the second half Enkhuizen failed to get back into the match. FC Den Helder held up well and took three important points.

HCSC – Medemblik: 3-0
HCSC continues to do well in the third division. Coach Michel Kakisina’s team was too strong for Medemblik with a score of 3-0. At halftime it was 1-0 and that lead was never in danger in the second half. Guillermo Gauna and Daniel Wassenberg added their names to the scoreboard. There was also an own goal.

VV Succes – Texel ’94: 1-1
VV Succes has taken a deserved point against Texel on its own field in the fourth division. For a long time the game seemed to be heading for a spectacle, but four minutes before the end Pieter Mulder managed to take advantage of a big mistake at the back of Texel. He remained calm and made it 1-0. It still ended up being 1-1. It was a hard duel with many cards.

DWOW – ZAP: 1-4
DWOW lost 1-4 to leader ZAP in the third division. The contrast between the two teams was great. At ZAP, everything goes according to plan under the leadership of trainer Hans de Koning. After five games, the team from Breezand has not yet lost a point. Finn van Dam stood out again by scoring three goals. He opened the scoring in the first half with a striking header: 0-1. Early in the second half, DWOW leveled with a goal from substitute Kees Lont. Van Dam then scored twice in a short time with another header. It is special to score so much with the head three times in a match. The last goal of the game was scored by Job Dietvors. DWOW was no match for this opponent.

DSOV – JVC: 3-0
JVC had a bad day in the second division against DSOV from Vijfhuizen. It became 3-0. The home team soon took a big lead. In the second half, JVC coach Van Beek saw that his team performed better, and the crossbar was hit three times. Van Beek and the players did not understand afterwards why things went so badly this time. The coach thinks it was a bad day that should be forgotten very quickly from a sporting point of view.

Nieuwe Niedorp – VZV: 4-1
Nieuwe Niedorp won 4-1 against neighbor VZV in the fifth division. The home team was lord and master in the first half. In the second half the balance of power was less great, although the yellow-blacks remained the strongest. Chris Koopman and Cas Witsmeer (three) scored at Nieuwe Niedorp. Niels Leegwater managed to score a goal at VZV.

Callantsoog – SV Wieringerwaard: 6-1
SV Wieringerwaard lost 6-1 to Callantsoog in the fifth division. The difference in strength between the two teams was too great this time. Home team Callantsoog was able to quickly take the lead. Kevin Kater made the score 2-1, which made it even more exciting. Afterwards, Callantsoog achieved a big win without too much effort. An afternoon to quickly forget for trainer Hans Kater and his team.
