Sports Interactive returned this Tuesday to comment on the postponement of Football Manager 2025 until next year and guaranteed that the current version will not receive an official update with the 2024/25 season.
Bad news for fans of the football simulator. Despite many requests from the community, Football Manager 2024 will not receive an update to cover the 2024/25 season.
Although it was a possible solution explored by the game’s producer, the truth is that problems with all the logistics for implementation in the new game engine prevent the work developed so far from being included in the 2024 version of Football Manager.

According to the developer, this solution would require the recreation of all the material that is already being developed for Football Manager 2025.
The same problems would apply to competition rules, translations and databases that cannot be implemented in the 2024 version having been developed for the FM2025 version – postponed until next year.
The developer assured that it is open to possible refunds from those who have already purchased the game through available pre-sales, ensuring that it is working towards a product with the best possible quality and to be launched in March 2025.
