After winning his second Formula 1 GP, Charles Leclerc moves a little closer to Lando Norris with his 30 additional points. The British driver, who still had hope of catching up with Max Verstappen, saw his dream slip away with his fourth place just behind the Dutchman, obtained following a 5-second penalty in the final moments of the race.
Behind Leclerc, Oscar Piastri sees Carlos Sainz, second in Austin, return to 32 points with five races remaining in the Formula 1 season. With eight and five points, the French Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon seem destined to play supporting roles in the competition.
