Fredrik Hammar celebrated the derby victory with Kenta’s thumb on his shirt.

It was directed at Djurgården‘s sporting director Bosse Andersson.

– As long as he is sports director, we will continue to win the derby, says Hammar.

In June, Hammarby won 3-0 over Djurgården. After the final whistle, the supporters offered a tifo showing the Hammarby icon Kenta, where he points his thumb at the pitch.

When Fredrik Hammar was celebrating the year’s second derby victory against Djurgården, he wore a t-shirt with the same motif.

He explained that the fulfinger was partly directed at the arrangement, which meant that the match had to be played without an audience.

But above all it was aimed at Djurgården, and its sporting director Bosse Andersson.

Why against Bosse?

– He stood and talked behind my back before the last derby, that if Hammar has the ball, we will win the derby and then we won. As long as Bosse is sports manager for Djurgården, we will continue to win the derby, says Hammar.

“It can’t get any worse”

The midfielder has not released what the sporting director stated before the summer.

– No, I have been waiting for, for example, a number of months. I choose to talk when the results are in place. They are having their worst year ever, zero goals, it can’t get any worse than this. Then I felt it was in its place.

He explains why he does not believe that Djurgården will reverse its negative derby trend as long as Andersson keeps his job.

– It is in the walls and he is mainly responsible for it.

In other words, the 23-year-old, who is a big Hammarby supporter, would like to see Super-Bosse remain in his post.

– Yes, with great pleasure. Hope he stays.

Hammar also gets a question about the coaches Kim Bergstrand and Thomas Lagerlöf, who have also had to endure criticism.

– Eh, it’s not the coaches’ fault. It’s not the first coaches in Djurgården who can’t win the derby, says Fredrik Hammar.

Hammarby won the derby 2–0 after double goals by Nahir Besara.

Footnote: After the interview with Fredrik Hammar was done, Djurgården announced that coaches Kim Bergstrand and Thomas Lagerlöf have been fired.
