Friborg Olympic won the Supercup for the fourth time in 5 years. The reigning Swiss champions beat Massagno 98-70.
The superiority of the Friborg squad made the difference at Saint-Léonard. Eleven of the twelve basketball players in Thibaut Petit’s squad all scored points. With 19 units, Ross Williams led the way.
Massagno, who won a year ago in the same match, lacked skill in front of the basket. Elijah Morgan (2/10 shooting) and Marko Mladjan (4/14) were far too inaccurate for the Ticino to compete.
End of series for Elfic
The Women’s Super Cup returned to Nyon, winner of Elfic Friborg (71-68). The Vaudoises took their revenge on the Fribourgeoises, who had beaten them in 5 matches in the championship final last season. Elfic had, however, won the imposing Super Cup trophy for the last six years.
