Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek and his management were acquitted at the Annual Ordinary General Assembly Meeting held at Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center.
At the Annual Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of Galatasaray Sports Club, the 91st Board of Directors, chaired by Dursun Aydın Özbek, was acquitted by majority vote for the period 1 June 2023 – 31 May 2024.
Galatasaray Club General Assembly decided that the authority to evaluate the Florya land would remain with the board of directors chaired by Dursun Özbek.
The annual ordinary general assembly meeting of the yellow-red club was held at Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center.
In the proposal presented to the council board by some members at the meeting, it was reminded that the board of directors chaired by Dursun Özbek was authorized to evaluate the real estate, including the Florya land, in July. With the proposal, it was requested that the offers to be received in the tender planned to be held regarding the Florya land be submitted to the approval of the general assembly and that a contract be signed with the selected company.
President Özbek, who came to the podium before the vote, reminded that they had a detailed discussion about 3 months ago and received authorization from the general assembly. Stating that they had negotiations with the contractors and that the project was nearing completion, Özbek requested that the proposal be rejected so that the administration’s hand would not be weakened.
As a result of the voting, the proposal was rejected and the authority to evaluate the Florya land remained with the administration headed by Dursun Özbek.
EVALUATION OF FLORYA REVENUES
Within the scope of the second proposal, it was requested that the revenues from Florya land be evaluated in the fund to be established.
The proposal, in which the terms and conditions of use of the fund to be established were explained in detail, was put to vote.
Former Sportif AŞ Deputy Chairman Erden Timur, who spoke in favor of the proposal, said that the fund in question was used 2 years ago. vote He stated that it had been brought up before. Timur noted that the purpose of the fund is to strengthen and maintain the financial structure of the club.
Chairman Dursun Özbek, who spoke against the proposal, requested that the proposal be brought to the next general assembly to clarify the management of the fund, even though it was appropriate in general principle.
After the vote, this request was also rejected by majority vote.
The general assembly, which started at 10:00 and ended with the voting of the motions, lasted 12 hours.

Providing information about the financial statements, Dursun Özbek continued his words as follows:
“We broke the consolidated revenue record in our club history with 287 million Euros, approximately 8.9 billion TL. I would like to tell you about 3 important revenue items that contributed to this record revenue. Combined, VIP, lodge and daily ticket sales reached 52 million Euros. Although the combined prices quadrupled I would like to thank our fans who have always been with us and finished the 41 614 season tickets that were on sale. Galatasaray reached an average of 43 thousand spectators and an occupancy rate of 82 percent in this period. One of the places where we have been successful recently is in retailing. We continue our continuous growth by breaking a record with a turnover of 79 million Euros. We are planning to go public in the near future. Last year, we reached the sales of 701 thousand jerseys. We have sold 412 thousand jerseys in the new season. While ensuring all this growth, we continue to maintain financial discipline. Sponsorship, advertising and royalties revenue reached 75 million Euros, breaking a record. Our football team’s jersey sponsorships reached 25 million Euros. All these revenues reached 430 million TL in terms of consolidated gross profit. We reached the highest gross profit of the last 10 years. Making consolidated gross profit is very important. It achieved period-end consolidated net profitability of 5.2 billion TL. It represents a record in Galatasaray history. The total value of our real estate is 14.8 billion TL, or 443 million dollars. We reduced our financial debts to 2.4 billion TL after principal payment. We are just at the beginning of the road, we want to continue our path by ensuring this financial discipline in the best way possible. Our total assets are 21.5 billion TL.
