NBA players keep repeating it, year after year. There is nothing more exhilarating and intense than playing your season in a match. This is valid for other professional sports in the United States such as hockey and baseball, and Prime Video has decided to dedicate a documentary to it, available from October 22, the start date of the regular season.

This series is produced by Connor Schell (Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story), six-time NHL champion Mark Messier and Jersey Films 2nd Avenue (Danny DeVito), and we would have liked it to be in… 7 episodes. This mini-series is in five parts, each focused on a particular Game 7.

MavericksSpurs 2006 a staple

For NBA fans, you should not miss the 3rd episode since the production opted for the end of the conference semi-final between the Mavericks and the Spurs in 2006. We do not know if this is for a question of rights or speakers, but we obviously regret that the legendary Game 7 between the Cavaliers and the Warriors in 2016 was not chosen, or that between the Knicks and the Rockets in 1994, interrupted, on the air, by the leak of ‘OJ Simpson.

The fact remains that this Game 7 between Dallas and San Antonio was incredibly intense, and Dirk Nowitzki’s teammates took out the reigning champions at the end of a magnificent series. Tim Duncan will even go until speaking of the “best series” in which he participated during his career (at the time).
