“Golden Lily” to Foligno’s excellence in sport: coach Santarelli is also among the winners

They have achieved important sporting results both nationally and internationally, helping to bring prestige to the city of Foligno. And that’s why they were rewarded. On the evening of Friday 18 October, home athletes with brilliant careers, true excellences of the sporting scene, took turns on the stage of the “San Domenico” auditorium, where they went up to receive the “Golden Lily” . On stage, therefore, a parade of stars, belonging to the most diverse sports. Among the many awards awarded, also that to the former volleyball player and now coach Daniele Santarelli, coach of Imoco Conegliano Volley and the Turkish women’s national team.

Ecco all the winners: for archery Lorenzo Gubbini; for judo Miriam Coccia, Michele Coccia and Manuele Coccia; for taekwondo Celeste Lorenzetti; for judo Diego De Matteo, Lorenzo Cascelli, Emma Ciufoli, Sofia De Matteo, Edoardo Luzi, Daniele O’Boyle and Simone Petrini; for cycling Francesca and Alessandra Luna and Matteo Cruciani; for roller skating Eleonora Morena and Aurora Moroni; for karate Nicolo Belillo, Nicholas Martellini, Lorenzo Torti, Riccardo Pierbattisti and Francesco Pontassuglia; for athletics Thomas Sorci, Omar Fiki, Giulio Moriconi and Stefano Falcinelli; for clay shooting Antonio Marasco, Veniero Spada, Michael Spada and Katiuscia Spada; for swimming Lucrezia Mancini, for judo Francesco Cesarini and Tommaso Fava; for cycling Giacomo Serangeli; for gymnastics Elena Pallotta and Anna Caterina Capelli; for motor racing and engines Alessio Massini, the Beddini Racing team with driver Valerio Lata, Caparvi Racing with driver Alessia Pierelli (motocross); for combat sports Michele Cardarelli, Nicolas Ciotti, Walter Ciotti, Jose Antonio Chunga Carreno, Adam Dirami, Giordano Emili and Fernando Lenin Mosquera Ruiz; for rhythmic gymnastics Bianca Arcangeli, Elena Gjoni, Giorgia Bonaci, Francesca Benedetti and Beatrice Gualdoni; for Paralympic sport Antonio Acciarino; for athletics (Asd Educate with movement) Alessio Frattegiani, Armelda Dini, Achraf Morchid, Greta Antognoni, Angel Maschera, Jacopo Titta, Junior Tardioli, Stefano Sejdijaj, Elena Proietti Silvestri, Francesco Bartocci, Fabrizio Lauretani, Diego Conti, Luciano Carallo, Giulio Caponi, Michele Begaj, Giorgia Caponi, Angelica Titta, Giacomo Bellillo and Margherita Fusco; for volleyball Daniele Santarelli; for acrobatic glider flight Stefano Zuccarini and for wheelchair tennis Francesco Felici.

And again, the sports clubs of the ACF Foligno, the Foligno Triathlon youth sector and the Foligno Rugby Under 16 category were awarded. During the evening, then, an award was also presented to the municipal sports council, chaired by Alberto Stefanecchia, who received the “Let’s build kindness in sport” award for the commitment to the “Environment, common good in solidarity” project in favor of the diocesan Caritas of Foligno.
