A brief hint, good news, another piece in the mosaic depicting a fighting career. Jiří Procházka added a short message to his social networks on Saturday morning. “Good morning. I signed.” The message is clear. “I’m going to the next fight, I’m going to have another fight in the UFC.”

So far, Procházka has fought among the elite six times. He won four times, with several impressive finishes, and lost twice.

His matches ended before the limit every time, he also appeared in the title fight three times. He did pass his title test once, two years ago in Singapore, where he knocked out then light heavyweight king Glover Teixeira at the last minute and took his place. History was written, Jiří became the champion, the king of the world.

However, he did not enjoy his office for long, because of an injury he gave up the title. And when he subsequently returned to the fight, he did not climb back to the top. Alex Pereira, Teixeira’s protégé and friend, stopped him twice. However, Jiří did not lose his title ambitions. At the age of thirty-one, he still has everything ahead of him. After all, such a Pereira only got into the UFC as a thirty-four-year-old guy, and yet he did incredible things there.

Throwing a flint into the rye is definitely not worth it, which even Procházka knows. The last time he was in action was in June this year, when he wasn’t good enough for the mentioned Brazilian, then he took a break from the match for a while.

He took a vacation, went to Portugal. He experienced a great spiritual journey, thanks to which he was able to return to the preparatory phase with full strength. It started in Japan, where the number one in the light heavyweight division of the UFC went last week alongside the elite karateka Jan Soukup, who once tuned Kyokushin karate in Japan, which is often referred to as the toughest school of karate.

Now the Walk in the Land of the Rising Sun is in its second week, and so far he cannot praise his pilgrimage. He tunes his form, trains diligently, meditates, clears his mind, tunes the perfect instrument for the next combat expedition. When will it come is the question. Jiří is already giving certain indications. “Good morning from Japan. Signed,” the BJP tweeted a few words on Instagram, while being very careful not to let in any extra information.

Nevertheless, speculations immediately started about who will be the next opponent for the Czech fighter. And the name of Jamahal Hill, also a former champion, who also announced a few days ago “that the contract for the next fight is on the way” is the most mentioned.
