BRATISLAVA – Alena Heribanová is a seasoned presenter who is not surprised by anything these days. But it was different in the beginning!
The excellent presenter Alena Heribanová undoubtedly belonged to the legendary announcers of Slovak Television. In the study of the Mysteries of the Body show, she recently revealed how the announcers got along at that time, whether they supported each other or were rather competitors.
In the interview, however, we went back even further, to the times of Heribanová’s beginnings as a broadcaster, which, as she admitted, were more than demanding. Today, however, he remembers them with a smile. “It was terrible. I remember when the morning service came. I really had the face of a World War II heroine, but my knees were so shaky that I was afraid I could hear it, that it was as if the bones were rattling. I put up with the expression, but I was completely exhausted from it. And then I said to myself – I don’t have to do this!” However, despite the initial stress, she fought back and became one of the most popular faces on television.
However, during her long career, even she did not avoid any TV faux pas: “There were enough of them. That was mainly about the fact that when there is a live broadcast, you can’t always estimate when you are already in sharp focus.” And there is a funny story connected with that, which you can listen to in the video. However, the seasoned presenter already surprised with her incredible promptness and invented herself more than brilliantly. The conversation also turned to privacy and especially grandchildren. The presenter is the grandmother of granddaughters Emilka, Izabelka and grandson Zacharyáš, to whom she devotes herself fully, which was also heard from her words full of love and enthusiasm. She even traveled to see them in sunny Portugal, where her daughter Tamara and her husband, photographer Branislav Šimončík, spend several months a year. That, however, also enchanted Alena and she revealed the reason. It is worth watching not only this video interview, but also the show Mysteries of the Body on Saturday at 8.30 pm on Jednotka.
