Historic, for the first time the Cordillera will have a judoka in the Araucanía Games

It is the first time that a Cordilleran will represent Chubut in the Araucanía Binational Games. This never happened. Always, or almost always, they were from Comodoro Rivadavia. It was a distant sport for these places.

But one day Sensei Jorge Heitzmann, an eminence, appeared in Esquel. Very loved in the environment, unknown at some point by those who had to make political decisions in sports matters.

Heitzmann has the virtue of sharing values, of giving a hug at the right moment. To be supportive, respectful and kind.

But the world adjusts. Sooner or later it settles. A pupil of Jorge, one of the many pupils that Jorge has, is Alejandro Mansilla. A big, good-natured guy. Good people.

Good people, like Jorge, who looks like the grumpy grandfather from Heidi’s cartoons. The world settles.

The Trevelin Sports Secretariat incorporated Alejandro Mansilla a while ago to teach its Judo workshops. The CEDEM became “the Jorge Heitzmann Dojo”.

And history changed.

For eight years, precisely half of his life, the young Thiago Hughes, only 16 years old, has been practicing Judo.

First he had Jorge as an Instructor, in recent years it was Alejandro who sheltered him.

The values are the same, the commitment is the same. Trevelin Judo took a big step forward.

A representative of your municipal school will wear the white judogi of the province of Chubut.
