The hockey players of HK Dukla Ingem Michalovce won Wednesday’s preliminary game of the 13th round of the Tipos extraliga over HC Slovan Bratislava 5:1. In the incomplete table, they got to the top with 24 points, one point ahead of Spišská Nová Ves, which has a game to spare, the “Whites” are in 3rd place with 22 points.

Slovan took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to Liam Pecarar, who enjoyed a backhand bluff from goalkeeper Julian Junca. However, defender Adam Drgoň was able to equalize in the first half with a sharp shot in a power play.
In the middle part, the hosts punished Slovan’s indiscipline, Kaspars Daugavinš scored twice and Topi Rönni made it 4:1. In the 38th minute, first Pecararo tripped Junca behind the goal, then he sent Sebastián Jaseček to the ground with a cross, and after the melee, he and the home team’s Adam Varga saw a penalty until the end of the match. The judges also appreciated Pecarar’s cross at 5+DKZ. The victory of the home team was sealed in the 55th minute by Renars Krastenbergs.
