Homeless people out for Taylor Swift concert: controversy in New Orleans

(LaPresse) In anticipation of three Taylor Swift concerts expected to draw about 150,000 visitors to the Superdome in New Orleans this weekend, Louisiana authorities have begun evicting some homeless people living nearby. About 75 people living in tents under an overpass will be relocated about two blocks away, Louisiana State Police said. Among those who criticize the choice, there are those who say that this will slow down the search for long-term housing solutions for the people involved. It has not yet emerged that Swift or the NFL – which five years ago set the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans – contributed to the decision to move the camp.
