The resignation of Lale Cander, a member of the board of directors of the Turkish Football Federation, last night shook the agenda.
Cander, “Due to the need I see and due to the intensity of my work, I resign from the position of TFF Deputy President and executive board, as well as from my position of responsibility for sponsorship and marketing.” he said.
In the statement made later by TFF, it was stated that Cander’s resignation was requested by the management.
TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu said the following in the program he attended last night:
“Those who cannot do it will leave. We learned that the Federation was involved in an action of intimidating us by making news about things that did not happen, by presenting them as if they were happening. All our Board friends were disturbed by this. We do not accept behavior that violates our principles. I have 12 siblings and nearly 300 nephews and nieces. Did I buy one of these for TFF? If our general secretary is qualified, he can be our relative. “Also, I need to have people I trust.”
Journalist İbrahim Seten claimed that Lale Cander was dismissed due to Fatih Altaylı’s article. Seten used the following statements in his post:

2) His wife’s doctor, gynecologist Zehra Neşe Kavak, is on the board of directors and vice president.
3) His sister’s son, that is, his nephew Abdullah Ayaz, is the general secretary of the Federation.

The Secretary General of the Federation and his nephew Abdullah Ayaz was previously the Deputy Mayor of Üsküdar.
Another former Üsküdar Deputy Mayor, Abdurrahman Alp Beyaz, is now a member of the TFF Arbitration Board.
Again, former Üsküdar Deputy Mayor Vefa Yunus Taylan is now a member of the TFF Supervisory Board.
And another former Üsküdar Deputy Mayor, Cihan Eroğlu, is TFF Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Director and member of the Audit Board.
Finally, former Üsküdar Municipality Operations Directorate employee Hakkı Yıldırım is also TFF Purchasing Director.
His nephew Abdullah Ayaz, who is more competent and more effective than all TFF Board members, has brought almost the entire Üsküdar Municipality to the federation, and this situation is causing great discomfort in the TFF management.
It is another matter that the president behaves like a farm owner and goes everywhere alone and makes all the decisions on his own.
The only reason why the federation management is not falling apart at the moment is that the board members like the title of ‘TFF Board Member’.
And this alone is not enough to keep the federation alive.
