This Wednesday the San Francisco 49ers presented the official status of their injured players for the Week 6 game where they will visit the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. There are a couple of players who do not know if they will be able to play, others are injured and have already been definitively ruled out for the game and even one of the team’s stars was placed on the injured reserve list.
Movement on campus
Due to safety Talanoa Hufanga’s wrist injury, this Wednesday the 49ers decided to place him on injured reserve (IR). Following Hufanga’s gap on the active roster, San Francisco promoted tight end Brayden Willis from its practice squad to the 53-player roster.
Ruled out due to injury
On the other hand, defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (knee), linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf) and kicker Jake Moody (right ankle) are completely ruled out from playing against the Seahawks due to their respective injuries.
Uncertain Availability
Those who still do not know with certainty if they will be able to play this Thursday are wide receiver Chris Conley and cornerback Charvarius Ward. Conley is battling an oblique injury and Ward is battling a knee issue. Both players have managed to participate at least limitedly in practices on Tuesday and Wednesday. Their official status for the game in Seattle lists both of these players as “questionable.”
Look at the Opponent
On Seattle’s side, there are also some injured players. The Seahawks reported that defensive tackle Byron Murphy (hamstring), linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (thigh) and cornerback Tariq Woolen (ankle) will definitely not be able to play against the 49ers.
Additionally, linebacker Derick Hall (foot), safety Julian Love (hamstring) and linebacker Boye Mafe (knee) are questionable to play due to injury.
