Less than three weeks ago, he improved his professional record to 30-0, now the elite Czech postman Václav Sivak will attack for another triumph at the RFA 18 tournament in Žilina. On Saturday, October 19, he will fight against the Hungarian challenger Lászl Farkaš, and fate will also include the K-1 title up to 66 kg, which is held by the talented domestic fighter. “I don’t think it’s my level,” the 25-year-old from Ostrava commented on his next fight at the press conference.

Sivak is still searching in vain for the slayer. At a special event organized by the RFA and IAF in Prague at the end of September, he shot down Konstantin Stojkov, but after the match there were speculations that he was not a good opponent. “I did what I wanted. I had a plan, even though my opponent hit me a few times, but I think I went for it myself because I had no respect in front of him. But when I faced him, I he knew he was mine,” smiled Sivak before the next title defense.

In it, he will meet the Hungarian champion Farkaš, who has a score of 26:5 among professionals. He also won a decent portion of matches among amateurs – 72:3. “He’s an experienced wrestler, he’s been through a lot with a good score. But I don’t think he’s at my level. We’ll be surprised. I’m ready to die in the ring,” Ostrava’s Bad Boy prepares his fists.

And in confident words he continued. “He is nothing special than my last opponents. Záděra would have smashed his head with force,” Sivak recalls the two-year-old duel against Patrik Záděr. However, there is no bad blood between the two rivals. “He is a gypsy like me, he has good movements and skills, but he will move differently when he feels my strength,” Sivak believes.

In contrast to the fight with Stojkov, Sivak will fight in the popular weight class up to 66 kg, where he holds the title of K-1 champion and swept away all three challengers. So the advantage is on his side. “I don’t decide the plan for the match, nor did I do any exceptional preparation for the opponent. He said that he was preparing for fitness and strength, but this is how I have been preparing for several years. I have been in prison all my life,” he says with a stern expression on his face.

The Czech talent is well aware that it cannot afford to hesitate. He will be fighting in Slovakia in Žilina, but his impressive 30-0 record is at risk. “I don’t deal with myself. If, God forbid, I lost, I would want to know that I gave my best performance and that there was nothing more that could have been done. I would rather lose it in front of people, they would deal with it a lot. I know it would come. For the sake of the people I can’t afford it,” he knows well.

During the press conference, Farkaš also had respect for his opponent, but he is still confident ahead of what is probably the biggest duel of his career. “I will beat him with my preparation – mental and physical. I don’t feel that he could break me. Vášek will realize that he can learn the most from defeat,” revealed the Hungarian determinedly with the help of a translator.

And Sivak’s reaction? He laughed and added. “That’s what everyone says, I’m sick of it. Everyone’s like that,” he shook his head.
